Professor Manzon participated in a panel session on “Rebuilding Education for Breakthroughs We Need Post-2030: Roles of Comparative Education” at the Annual Conference of the Comparative Education Society of Hong Kong (CESHK), held from November 22-24, 2024 at the University of Hong Kong, on the theme “Comparative Education: Historical Roots, New Beginnings”. The panel members comprised of scholars from CESHK and the Japan Comparative Education Society (JCES). Sustainability issues were discussed from the perspectives of interdependence (Jeremy Rappleye), global governance (Kazuo Kuroda), interreligious dialogue (Maria Manzon), empirical studies (Jing Liu), endogenous sustainability (Huajia Teh), and philosophical views on global citizenship education (Shuyu Xing).
