On August 3, Professor Pin-Han Chen and ten undergraduate students from the Bachelor Program in Sustainable Environment and Smart Technology at Providence University (Taiwan) visited the Department of Economics at Sophia University as part of an international study program organized by Providence University. The visitors were welcomed by Professor Tetsuya Horie. During the meeting, Professor Chen introduced Taiwan’s Circular Economy Roadmap, while Professor Horie presented his recent research on environmental economics. The participants discussed the opportunities and challenges associated with advancing the circular economy and resource recovery in Taiwan over the next two decades and exchanged views on related research and policy issues.
